Our Story

Quick Mix, Inc. is a 23 year old company located in Ault, Colorado near the Fort Collins area of Northern Colorado. We manufacture volumetric concrete mixers, mobile batch plants, slurry mixers, pre-cast mixers and cement silos. In 1984, Gary Rasmussen designed and built his first Quick Mix volumetric concrete mixer in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The inspiration for his design was to develop a mixer that would consistently produce quality concrete while minimizing the amount of maintenance down time due to machine break downs. He accomplished this by coming up with an innovative machine design that reduces the number of moving parts and utilizes readily available "off-the-shelf" components. One example of this is the cement powder metering technology that requires only one short auger screw versus the traditional dual metering screws used by other mixers. In addition, he added a unique friction-reducing roller bed conveyor system that enables the mixer to us 2/3 less hydraulic oil than before. Over the years, this innovative design has been perfected through customer feedback and implementation of new and emerging technologies. However, we still haven't forgot what makes our mixers superior--their simplicity. They are simple to operate, and simple to maintain. We have shipped over 500 mixers to more than 20 countries to date, with most still making concrete.
